Post by Bex »

Hi guys :)
I'm based in London, I'm 29 and have been listening to divine truth for around a year. It's coming to the point now after thoroughly enjoying and loving hearing so many videos to starting to be really curious about God. Who God is, what gods like - how I can start to build a relationship with God etc. I feel a wee bit apprehensive but want to start experimenting more fully. If anyone has any tips when they started to have a deep curiosity about God as to what they did next it would be lovely to hear! I was brought up with atheist parents yet sung about god my whole teenage years in choirs (yet never stopped to ponder who or what God was and if there was a god which thinking back now seems very odd on my part!)

I play music for a living and grew up on a farm on a small island off the west coast of Scotland.
Perry introduced me to AJs videos as we worked together in a juice bar in Covent Garden :)

Thanks to Nikki for bringing this community together, I look forward to new friendships xxx

Hi Bex

Welcome to the forums here.

To be honest the questions that you have stated were the exact questions which led me to Divine Truth initially a few years ago.

I would suggest to start engaging and experimenting in prayer to God when you feel a desire within to do so and then observe your attractions over the next day or two. Also, one thing that worked for me was to start being truthful as much as I could in my day to day life with myself and the people around me and to then allow the feelings within me to start coming up.

Nice to meet you

Nicky

Hi Nicky

I would say what you felt then was confirmation from God of Truth and the feeling kind of remains there unless you then depart from it and you'll get an equal and opposite feeling. God is always loving us.

It's a question I ask a lot, me of little faith! Always get a feeling of affirmation every single time, sometimes subtlety, sometimes intensely when I really attempt the great experiment, wholeheartedly I mean. I get the same feelings on the question of my soul mate. But I can't say for sure, I dont know when I can say for sure with certainty either but these experiences lead me to believe it's all likely. I just want to be honest with where I'm at.

Hey Nicky
Thanks very much for taking the time to reply. It is encouraging you had similar questions. Because I haven't really been around people who believed in God growing up I am finding it helps lots at the moment to read biographies or films from people who do. I feel I am bursting with questions and as a few people here said they were from London I would be happy to organise a meet up place if anyone would like to gather to share their journeys towards God in person.
I feel like I am thinking about God at most times yet not engaging which feels strange, alot of my anxiety probems have decreased since finding the divine love path. Do you feel you would have progressed with such conviction without the trip to Australia? xox
