Hello :)

Post by Amrita »

My name is Amrita and I live in Colorado, USA. I've two children, 11 and 13. Both were diagnosed with autism. I work as a behavior analyst.

I first came across Divine Truth about 3.5 yrs ago in book that had referenced excerpts of AJ's teachings. I was instantly attracted. At the time, I was heavily into metaphysical practices and beliefs.

My first attempt at watching a youtube video brought up the, "A Current Affair", show. The second video to come into my LOA had mentioned autism. I decided to experiment with what was said and sure enough, it was spot on.

I was fortunate enough to meet AJ, Mary and Cornelius in San Diego. I had the opportunity to speak with AJ one on one. He shared some things that were going on with me that I was absolutely terrified of confronting. Although I did not address them immediately, I soon realized that they were/are the most pressing issues for me.

One of the biggest shifts for me was understanding that my capacity to intellectually regurgitate a truth was not the same as truly knowing and embodying it.

I would say I might be on the verge of beginning the divine love path in a non facade way whereas in the past, I only thought I was. I have felt a few emotions here and there but still do not include God in the process as much as I should.

Thank you, Nicky, for creating this space.

Beginning the path in a non facade way, but telling myself I was ... not including God yet ... psychological beginnings and new age practices just before finding AJ ... wow ... sounds a little like my journey. I really love this introduce yourself section ... helps to bring people's stories to the forefront ... even if we still know little about their real self

Hi Amrita

Welcome to the forums.

Yes you are completely correct about the ability to regurgitate a truth from the mind is not the same as feeling it in your heart.

I feel that just by intellectually "knowing" a truth and having some faith that it may be true whilst experimenting helps us see the errors within our own hearts and how way off our actual feelings are to the truth which is stated by Jesus & Mary, which I guess is quite an important step in deconstructing our facade.

Nice to meet you

Nicky

Hi Scott, can I ask you about what you mean by what you said above?
If this is true what you said, I find it very interesting, as I know it was the other way around and so for many people who I observed. So I wondered that there could be a big difference between how some people initially engage Divine Truth.

I am not sure if this is a good thread to ask about it, I hope this is an ok space for this question.

Cheers, Lena

Hi Lena,

Scott's status is "muted". He can't see your question I guess.

Cheers, Pierre
