Hi guys
Nicky here. Recently myself and Perry completed two talks over the past 5 days and we really enjoyed the whole experience. We were pretty nervous beforehand as these were our first series of public speaking events but it was awesome as we met a lot of really cool, new people. We learnt a lot in the process which was great and feel it will be a good idea at some point soon to record a video for our channel to share with you some of the challenges that we faced during the process!
We created the first talk and my cousin Pete joined us in speaking with the guests. It was an awesome experience particularly when preparing everything for the event and making sure all the equipment would work on the day which luckily it did! We will soon be editing the footage and uploading it onto our YouTube channel for those interested. I’d like to thank everyone who came, those who were generous to donate to us, Courtney & Becks for volunteering to do the video recording and my cousin, Phil for looking after the audience microphone.
Off the back of our first talk, Perry and myself were invited to talk for 30 minutes at an event called Poetical Word. Again, this was another completely new experience for us. We spoke to a group of around 30 individuals from a variety of backgrounds and beliefs ranging from atheists to christians and muslims so we would like to thank all of these guys for their engagement!
